YAROO!
RTD quits Dr.Who - Moffat takes over Yay!!!
Really?!!!
Already in the who thread . . .
Oh. Wow. I don't know about Moffat so I can't tell if this is a good thing.
Quote: Griff @ May 20 2008, 5:32 PM BSTI thought it might be but I've had to stop looking at the Who thread from work as it seems to be full of naked Jo Grant.
Is that a hint there, Griff?
Love and Monsters? I didn't like that one. Marc Warren was good in it, as was Peter Kay, but the plot was just weird. I mean, the monster was like a giant absorbing frog!
More to the point, he wrote Coupling. (And the thoroughly underrated Chalk.)
Yaroooo
Oh! Sorry, didn't read your post properly. I thought you said Moffat wrote Love and Monsters.

Did he? Didn't know that. Shows how diverse he is anyway.
To be fair to the Love and Monsters episode though, a 10 year old won a Blue Peter competition to come up with a monster for an episode for Dr Who, so it was always going to be a bit rubbish.
The Empty Child and Blink are my two favourite Dr Who episodes so I'm pretty chuffed about that.

And "Press Gang," "Jekyll" and "Joking Apart."
Simply the best TV writer going, in my opinion...

And "The Girl in the Fireplace," another winner.

Very much.
I loved "The Girl in the Fireplace".

I think that's one of my all time faves, and I don't mind admitting how sad I was at the ending!
