Got there before me with Young Knives. Apparently We are Scientists were Art Brut #13 when the name was kind of a franchise.

I think they formed a group together briefly called Art Brut 47, so called due to We Are Scientists going to Pomona College which has a weird relationship with the number 47. I'm not sure though, they seem to be close as bands and regularly cover each other's stuff though.

I almost got to see them early this year, however the gig was Over 18's only. My middle class sensibilities prevented me from acquiring fake ID and going despite the rule.

Look a bit deeper and there is some good music, it's diverse as well. The stuff touted by the radio stations and record companies is generally awful though.

Agreed, theres as much good stuff as there ever was, just a lot of people dont listen to it; they think bands like The Kaiser Chiefs and Pigeon Detectives are the norm.
