And that alone is why Britain is infinitely superior to the United States of America.

Glad to see that so far, apart from Ellie (?), everyone seems to have the correct opinion. :)

Please tell me my opinion Aaron, you dominating internet supremo you
Lovey

Your opinion is probably "Mmmmmm ... coal", but the correct stance in this case is...

Well done, Aaron, on posting this. I've always wondered if someone posted anything about a serious topic like abortion, whether it would degenerate into the usual froth, with off topic posts, and people trying to pull Ellie. In other words, as usual.

I have to say I think abortion is wrong, but it's not my place to tell any female in that position what to do. It has to be their decision, and hopefully existing laws are able to recognise that.

As for the hybrid embryo stuff, I probably don't agree with it. Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should. Same with GM foods, in my opinion. Of course, someone somewhere is always working on these projects, so it's hard to put the genie back in the bottle.

You must have been very selective in which posts you read then!?

You are very well-balanced person Aaron - you have a chip on both shoulders :P

No, Alan, I read most of the posts. The truth is the forum is a lot more flexible than some, which is probably a good thing. On some sites the moderators are pretty strict about your posts.

I haven't tested the moderators in here yet but some of them look pretty strict to me Cool

I may be wrong, but I thought the mods and members on here were all pretty easy going.

Freedom of speech is something important to us on here...obviously...there is a limit.

Talking about serious topics is often hard on such a flexible board for the small fact that the people who visit here are "comedy lovers" so often write humourous posts, and plays on words, or "try and pull" me. :P But it's not that we don't want to discuss such things, it's just hard to keep things on topic in such the general forum.

Yes, true. I'm not really criticising, we wouldn't want to go the way of some sites. Sometimes though it would be refreshing if people didn't go off topic. But then it is a comedy site and people fancy a bit of humour. Quite rightly.

I like jelly. But not blancmange.

Well, you'd have to have a sense of humour, wouldn't you?
