Oh no, the head of Human Remains - don't do it!! Unless you are going to be the only HR person in history who has people skills? I remember being hauled in to see the HR director of a previous company I worked for because I had given a Brazilian guy a reprimand because he kept turning up an hour late for his shift! She said my management style was a little extreme (!?) and proceeded to tell me how she had learned the hard way about extreme management. She was hosting a party for heads of HR over many branches of a particular firm and had told one of the ladies that she could not attend because she was too fat and would give off a bad image for the company!!!!!! I told her that she had mistaken the word extreme with the word obnoxious and we rarely had to speak again after that
