Reading to Brighton.
Where were you when Aaron posted his 20,000th? Page 7
Quote: zooo @ May 20 2008, 11:03 AM BSTI hope you didn't give him any tea and biscuits!
Or if you did I hope you spat in it.
My mother gives her window cleaners tea and biscuits .. they spend 10 minutes having a tea break and 3 minutes cleaning her windows. Then they have the cheek to knock on the door and ask her for £3.75!!

damn it, my excuse is it's early
Quote: Alan Cornforth @ May 20 2008, 11:08 AM BSTThat's because you were being pragmatic - you wanted your boiler to work after he had finished. Anti-racism or hot water? - it's a boiling issue of the moment!
No, I'm a coward who hates conflict.

Was he built like a brick outhouse then?
Aw.
You're hardly going to change his views anyway. Just use him as an entertaining example of wankdom and forget him.
£3.75? That's a bloody bargain where I come from.
One of my favourite episodes of Peepshow is where Mark makes friends with somebody who turns out to be racist then doesn't know whether top ditch him or not.

If only anti-BNP types would take that view.

Well, there is a difference between a 'harmless' gasman chuntering on in your kitchen, and a political party who actually get to weild some power.
(Is that how you spell weild?..)
Nah, i before e and all that.
wield.
Oh yeah!
I don't often wield anything.
Anyway. People should concentrate less on attacking the BNP and more on why people vote for them!
Quote: zooo @ May 20 2008, 11:33 AM BSTI don't often wield anything.
I do.
Can we attack the BNP voters?
With machetes?
Quote: Aaron @ May 20 2008, 11:34 AM BSTI do.
Wahey.
Quote: zooo @ May 20 2008, 11:34 AM BSTCan we attack the BNP voters?

No, 'cause not everyone wants to ship all the ethnics back!
The thing campaigners fail time and time and time again to realise is that in terms of strategy and building support, the BNP are currently by far the cleverest political party. Whatever the core faithful and leaders beliefs may be, they're getting people to vote for them by actually addressing local issues, things which matter to local people on the 'front line'. I've seen black people saying they're going to vote BNP because the candidate has promised to tackle graffiti, anti-social behaviour, littering, etc. They've concentrated on those relatively small but ultimately day-to-day more obvious issues VERY wisely. Getting people on-side with sane, moderate policies.
The present mainstream "BNP OUT! NO RACISM!" rhetoric fails to address any of those concerns, and thus BNP support will only grow. How do you think they got a seat on the London Assembly? They came fifth place in the London mayoral election for f**k sake. It's not through demanding that darkies be shot at dawn.
You're right of course.
It'd still be a lot easier just to pretend none of it exists.
(Which is what I do most of the time, to be honest.)
