I have a gruesome seven days in prospect.
Last week I was swamped in the organisation for my company's quarterly member meeting (for 100 delegates) in London. I've had to badge the attendees but didn't realise we'd run out of the laminated pouches for the badging. Normally I'd order them from our supplier but they don't open over the weekend and the six alternatives didn't have the right ones in stock. In the end I had to buy a type which required me to make all the holes for the landyard clip by hand. I got most of the laminating done but then the badging machine broke which required a trip into the office over the weekend.
Also this week I've had the writing, editing, designing, chasing copy, replacing lost stories etc for our company magazine. Worst thing is that I lost the cover story at the last minute so the front cover is just a photo with an expanded contents section. You'd have to be dumb to believe it's supposed to look like it does. The who;e thing was supposed to be printed and ready for the meeting but I'm still missing approval for two stories so I've missed the deadline. Hopefully an on-line version will be sufficient on Monday.
So to this coming week...
Monday: London conference
Tuesday: London conference
Wednesday: 0915 collect keys for our new rented property before commencing a house move
Thursday: Completing the house move and ensuring our old place is clean enough for us to get our deposit back by 1500.
Friday: Review meeting with the company CEO
Somehow we've got to get the house packed up in the meantime and to organise all the change of address details.
I'm knackered just thinking about it.
This is my worst week - what's yours?
