Okay im making a sitcom for GCSE, ive decided to set it in a museum where there should be quite a few misunderstandings, events etc which occur to create comedy.
What my question is, is about main characters in sitcoms.
The comedy is going to arise from the museum owner ( a chacter like John Cleese in fawlty towers); i am also going to have an employee who is privleeged by the text for being the only normal person which the audience can empathise with. She/he will talk directly towards the camera as if no fourth wall "well, look where I work, its not that good you see. The museum owner is completely bonkers..."
I was wondering if this would be a good or bad idea and who exactly would be the protagonist here??? Is it the person where the comedy comes from, or the person in which the audience empathise with as they speak their though to the camera as we as England are an active audience.
Thanks for any comments in advanced!!!
