My wife has just sent me a msn message that I really was not expecting...

"what does the spleen do?"

I thought it might be a cool idea to have a random thread with bizarre questions and even more bizarre answers.

If you can answer the above, great, but if not, what would be the most creative answer you could give?

Maybe you have a crossword clue you can't solve or can recommend a good restaurant in Droitwich, let's give Wikipedia a run for its money. :)

We did this in Biology last Friday! The red bit filters the blood to remove unwanted things in it, and the white bit helps to fight infection. It can also produce red and white blood cells because it's a major lymphatic organ.

i see so the leg bone doesnt connect to that then?? this song is alot more difficult then I remember.

Also my dog had his spleen removed last year and it doesn't seem to have broken him.

Because that's not how the English language works. :)

My guess is because the word is Algonquian (Native American) and thus wouldn't have a plural in the same way that other Germanic (English is Germanic right? I'm pretty sure) languages are.

Yep, English is largely Germanic.
