jez, dont sound so please about it ;)

Well, you are an ornery sod at the best of times.

Better ornery and useful than fawning and pointless.

Quite true.

I like this one as is to be honest. Very good and didn't see it coming. Top marks.

Dan

It's really very good. I would give him a longer last line of dialogue though, just so the audience can hear it a bit more.

I liked it.
Maybe, as the lever is pulled, we see the relatives of the murder victim in celebratory mood with many balloons inscribed 'Got to Hell'.
(Thus explaining the difficult gas mix-up.)

Now that's clever too. See, this is why I post on critique.

This is under par, in my view.

The original sketch is funny. There really is no need to explain the gas mix up so i would leave it as it is.

What if - and hear me out here - his head were to explode?

That sounds a bit sarcastic? The person just gave an opinion.

I fail to see the point of posting up a creative work in 'critique' if you get upset by the slightest negative comment.

To enlarge on my "disturbing" >> I can see it's a reasonably good joke but, as I said in the sooty version thread, a bit of a distasteful subject for me. I can't explain why but that was just the impact - and in entertainment that's what counts.

It's fine as it is Dave. Cracking sketch mate.

Sorry, Thing, the 'head exploding' thing is a joke that goes some way back between Godot and I. He'll get what I'm saying. It wasn't meant as a snub.

I welcome any criticism that's leveled at me and I appreciate if you find the joke distasteful. Obviously I don't.

Ah, sweet, petty validation...

Been there, done that!

But seriously, well done.
