Good luck!
You will need a shower after a Two Pints marathon. But I think it will be worth it.

TBH when it started way back I gave it 10 minutes of my time before I channel hopped, and because so many people agreed that it's a shower of shite I haven't looked back since.
However I watched a clip on Youtube recently and it did get a smile from me, so I shall give it another go.
Still think they should can the laughter though.
Quote: Richard Wells @ April 29 2008, 12:53 PM BSTYes
Aaron is right, sex, sex, sex = instant hilarity.
Unfortunately it's not politically correct though.
But I don't care.
Richard knows where it's at!
If I wasn't at work, I'd put on an Are You Being Served? DVD right now!

I think the only reason Ellie watches it is to see Will Mellor with his top off.

It wouldn't work without the laughter. All about the atmosphere, my friend. All about the atmosphere.
(Cue "it doesn't work with" comments.)

Will Mellor has very thin lips. He's a bad'n, you mark my words.
As a compromise how about the producer's exchange the canned laughter for voice-overs?:
[Viewer 1] Now that's funny
[Viewer 2] Ha, that happened to a mate of mine!
[Viewer 3] Lame
[Viewer 1. Again] Oooh he shouldn't have done that!
And so on and so forth.

It's not canned.
Bleurgh. Will Mellor is not attractive.
But they're all very likeable.
Quote: Aaron @ April 29 2008, 2:15 PM BSTIt's not canned.
Better still. Record the voice-overs.
Hey! the voice-overs could be put in a make-shift living room and they could incorporate other realistic stuff like:
[Viewer 1] Put the kettle on, Kim, I'm gagging for a cuppa.
[Kim] No you go!
[Viewer 2] Shut up you two, I'm trying to watch Two Pints!
Whadya think?

Yep - so what?
Ffffffilthy.
As long as it's not to see Jonny's body.
I wouldn't put it past her.
(Ew.)
Quote: David Moore @ April 29 2008, 12:55 AM BSTA sitcom will end when the main characters leave, or when they run out of ideas. There is nothing clever about regurgitating old story lines in a spin off series with one or two original cast members. To try and restore a little origiality writers have attempted to open out studio-based sitcoms by looking abroad. The school trip in Please, Sir set a precedent for all spin-offs that followed. The premise of sending the characters on holiday, it later seemed, was enough to justify an entire film, regardless of script. Consequently, Steptoe and Son went to Spain; the staff of Grace Brothers took a package trip to the Costa Plonka; and George and Mildred celebrated their anniversary with a romantic weekend away. The worst of all is the spin off of On the Buses called Don't Drink the Water. This series follows Blakey when he retires to Spain, it is not just the least clever, it is abysmal.
I kind of enjoy it when everybody in a sitcom goes abroad. It's vaguely surreal. And I sometimes think we can get too precious about shows. I mean something like On The Buses is hardly great art, so what does it matter if they all bugger off the Spain?
It cuts both ways. Remember when Friends came to london and bumped into Fergie and Richard Branson?
That's just shit on a whole new level, no other reason than to appease the average American dullard (70%+ of the population, I fear!).
