Meh. I was glad that Andrew Marr's History of Modern Britain won 'Best specialist factual', and pity it didn't win the audience one, but aside from that I am neither filled with joy nor anger at any of the results. It's all a bit shit really.
BAFTAs - Thoughts ?

James Corden - Gavin and Stacey (BBC Three)
Also nominated:
Peter Capaldi - The Thick of It (BBC Four)
Stephen Merchant - Extras Christmas special (BBC One)
David Mitchell - Peep Show (Channel 4)
Gracious me, how would you choose between these four? We really are living in a golden age of sitcoms.
Quote: Griff @ April 21 2008, 10:23 AM BSTI'd agree with you about three of them.
You know it's only people on these forums who don't like Gavin & Stacey, don't you?
Best sport
ITV F1: Canadian Grand Prix Live (ITV1)
Also nominated:
Boat Race (ITV1)
Rugby World Cup 2007: England v France semi-final (ITV1)
Wimbledon - The Men's Final (BBC One)
Yaaay we won something! Even though I despise the Grand Prix. In your face Wimbledon!
I laugh like a big fool when I watch it, as do all my friends. Maybe it's an age thing.

Haha! Sorry to rain on your proverbial parade Curt, but I think you'll find that the award was for the event's British TV coverage not the event or the sport itself.
I'm still pissed off that Life On Mars didn't win, seeing as it's everyone's favourite show of the last couple of years. They gave it to The Street instead. Which no one's actually heard of, let alone seen.

I like Gavin and Stacy but I thought this award should have gone to Peter Capaldi. He is so good as Malcolm f**king Tucker.
Glad Eileen Atkins won. Well deserved.

You've won lots of things. Isn't Ben Johnson one of your atheletes - he always used to win things.
Glad Gavin and Stacey won something, we really like it in our house. And my office. Am I alone in not finding TV Burp at all funny?
TV Burp is VERY hit and miss, Steve. Essentially the same thing week-in, week-out too, which doesn't help. I think, given David Chapman's postings, it's made me appreciate Harry Hill's woefully poor associations and linkings all the more.

Zooo you know what I'm going to say, don't you... As good as the Street is, Life on Mars should have won this year, because the Street beat it last year as well, and no show needs two awards. Besides, it's not like Ashes to Ashes is going to win anything is it?
I like TV Burp, although it got a bit too in-joking at the end of the last series even though I watched them all.

I am so pleased people on this form don't like it! At last, I have found my people.
My mum doesn't like it either.

How old's your mum?
