The first and only time I ever heard of Tower Hamlets was when they made the news aaages ago for electing a BNP member as their MP.

(I'm not suggesting that everyone in Tower Hamlets is a racist, of course, just that that is what comes into my mind whenever I see the place.)

A local Councillor Zooo, just a local Councillor.

Ah, is that what it was?

I was only young when it happened.
I think....
When did it happen?

Just to clarify something cos I think I might be being dumb here: The use of the smiley emoticon means that was a joke right?

Incorrect.

Hah!

1980s sometime. It was on the Isle of Dogs. Funny old place.

Like, at the last elections I think. Certainly happened recently, although possibly previously too. And it's looking like there might be a BNP member on the London Assembly after May 1st.

I want to live there.

I'm writing something set in the Isle of Dogs!
But in the 1890s.

Oo, jammy! Can I read it please?

Well, if I ever finish it, yes. :)

Incorrect.

So let me get my understanding right here.

Clearly you are the person that does most to keep this forum running. I appreciate that but I see something of a dichotomy in you reacting to something that I see as rather unimportant but you, personally, find irritating but not reacting to offensive posts that most people might agree better warrat attention.
Neither are you perfect yourself.

As far as I can see, it is ok to use terms like ''f**k you'',''dickhead'',''mean spirited twat'',''f**king prick'',''c**ty'' - all directed at a major comedy star. It is also ok for someone to use the word ''threw'' for through (yesterday). It is also ok to use a nonsensical sentence like ''Please don't me it so easy for me to insult you!'' (yourself!)
Also ok ''bi - at - ches'' (again yourself).

Many more I'm sure I could find if I was sad enough.

It is not, however, ok to use any kind of shortened version of words, even though the only instances I can recall were the use of the letter 'u' for the word 'you'. Obviously a heinous and unforgiveable crime! Eh? - and will get you banned?

I'm not sure what your issue is: It seems something that you feel very strongly about. I could cite something that springs to mind but I'm not here to label anyone.

Ban me if I'm not welcome and it worries you so much.

Thanks.

Correct.

Yay! :)

(I trust it's historically accurate?)

Well I'd love to hear what others think about it if they can find the time before you ban me.

Such a good resource this forum and I am certainly not here to cause a problem but I think you are being a bit unfair.

I'm not about to ban you...

Did you use to have the Dragon from Dragon heart on your avatar?

Not sure of the relevance but actually I have no idea: Just one I found on an avatar site - and then took two hours to figure out how to load it.

He's tugging on your larriot thing. But all the same best not to use txt spk.

:)
