Midsummer Night's Dream is good, too!

Why do people always say it's more boring for boys? Macbeth isn't exactly all daisies!

Because men don't have a romantised view of love and all that bollocks. ;)

How though!? It's rubbish when at County they talk about the things they're doing in English. No boys' opinion so it's all bitchy without reason, or all lovely with just as little justification.

Midsummer Nights' Dream is far from romanticised! It looks like it is, where as in fact it inverts those perceptions with its aspects of mistaken identity.

You what? I understood NONE of that paragraph.

... And our point is proven! Laughing out loud

Thats another reason what does that actually mean?

I'm doing English at the moment...it just flows over... Errr
And it's about duality is all. It can't work with just boys or just girls. So many of the guys in my English class are amazing at literature!

So what are you complaining about? :S

I'm going to give up now...I feel silly :$. And I was just complaining that people resign themselves to not being able to do it when they can I guess...

I write sitcoms and features I'm pretty literate but still don't understand it. Most of the times if guys show intrest in English and "anaylise" text its to chat up some chick in English.

Watching the plays doesn't always grab me either, and I've seen a fair few of them at the RSC...

The only RSC I acknowledge is The Reduced Shakespeare Company.

Hehe! Sitcoms are very clever though-literature in their own by all means.

I love them!

They can't, because it's so deathly boring.

I love them!

Then you're not a total mental! :D

Score! I really thought I was...especially reading that back :(.

I did literature at uni. I've never heard so much bullshit and pap in my entire life. Luckily I did language as well which was pretty good.

I did literature!

The only area I can't get on with is poetry.

I need to decide if to do literature. These conflicting views! Too much for my brain!
