David Bussell, you make me very happy.
In a non gay way.
I thought the original version was ace, really funny. You're one of my personal favourite sketch writers on here. And I'm sure you think that's a MASSIVE compliment!
Thank you very much, Seefacts, and thanks especially for restoring faith in my original sketch. In retrospect, it would be nice that one of my pieces not end in torture or death.

I liked the original but the end was a little flat after his gradiose attempts to get the answer....in my mind it would go:
DARREN IS SAT BY HIMSELF. TOM ENTERS, STICK IN HAND.
TOM
(TRIUMPHANTLY)
A penguin in a blender.
DARREN
(RELIVED)
You got it, way to go.
BOTH SIT AND SUP ON THEIR BEERS FOR A MOMENT. TOM STARES AT DARREN.
TOM
It's not is it?
EMBARRASSED SILENCE.
DARREN
Um, No, it was a newspaper.
TOM
Bloody hell, what is with you? It is so patronising when you do that.
DARREN
(EMBARRESSED)
Sorry.
Thanks for the suggestion, M.

Reminds me of a Monkeydust sketch to be honest - I have a similar sketch on a kid learning to tie his shoelaces, Great minds eh?
Either way it's a good sketch!
Cheers, Paul. I'll have to go back and watch Monkeydust again, I haven't seen it since it went out on the box.

Not really, David (from what I've seen of his skills with editing ect ect) he could put together a montage, it just requires a lot of time.
It's what green screen was made for.
