Advice on etiquette please

This is a pretty basic question and apologies if the answer lies buried elsewhere on this forum but....

I'm submitting material to both the Treason Show and Newsrevue, having been invited to, and wondered whether it was considered 'not the dome thing' to send both shows the same material. As it's all very topical, and the songs in particular take a bit of work, I'm want to maximise the chances of getting them on somewhere, anywhere! I don't want to be discourteous to the teams by sending stuff that's gone elsewhere but as it seems neither confirm they're using material nor do I want to send stuff off only to find it wasn't used and is now out of date...especially the songs!

You should send it to as many people as possible, especially if it's topical. If the shows compete against each other -even better. If they both go out using the same material, this will only enhance your reputation in the industry and you will get much more work. It's obvious really.
