It does Bill... I run MS Office Word 2007 on Vista home premium...

When you open a template it asks if you want to enable macros and then I save as Word 97-2003 and everything is hunky-dory...

most docs have to be saved as 97-2003 .doc anyway because no one can open them if you send them a 2007 .docx

strangely I can't get any version of scriptsmart to work on 2007...

Do you mean this Kjs.....
hubby has a more up to date 'words' than me, so when he emailed me a script to download on here, I couldn't download it, but 'words' asked did I want the 'update' whereby my 'words' would recognise the latest 'words'.
So, I downloaded the update and now I can put his stuff into my docs....if necessary.
he does this as he has no printer, so I print his stuff out for him.

Ah, KJS.. I did say it doesn't FULLY work on MS Word 2007.
Some of the Menu options are missing, I think.

Yes... unfortunately MS Word 2007 is not backward compatable.

2007 can "read" and open any MS Word .doc you throw at it, but MS 2007 .docx can only be "read" by MS 2007... >_<

I've not noticed anything missing... you've got me wondering now.... Huh?

Downloaded Celtx but I'm not happy about not being able to save as a word document.

If you feel that you just have to have it in Word, why not just view the Typeset page and then cut and paste into it?

But hubby's is MS 2007 and mine is I don't know prob about 2005, but word updated mine so I can download MS 2007. Are you saying that if I email him a doc, MS 2007 won't have it?

Doesn't cut and paste often lose a lot of the formatting ? (Maybe someone who has tried this particular C&P can advise ?)

If you cut and paste from the celtx created PDF file the format remains... just don't try and edit or it all turns to rat shit... >_<
