They write, perform and animate each show in only a week's time. They don't build a back-log of shows; each show is freshly made and is aired within only a few days after completion. This impresses me very much.

It's best, as with any sitcom, to start with season 1 and work your way up. Each season has it share of winners and episodes that aren't the greatest but are still worth watching. I cannot honestly pick one season over another.

My very favourite episodes are PETA and Erection Day.

Always enjoyed Mrs Crabtree, the school bus driver. That character ended when the lady who voiced her committed suicide.

The movie Team America is a classic. I wasn't expecting it to be. Didn't think much of it until the song America! F**k Yea! started playing. A tiny grin began to spread across my face, increasing in size and speed like a paper towel soaking up a spill, until I burst out laughing.

Parker & Stone are the rare Americans who not only can take the piss out of USA culture & politics, but can do so without coming off like hippies or leftists.

Makes me laugh anyway.

That's difficult to do, especially when you consider the Draconian Adminstration they have.

George Carlin got arrested for breaching the Patriot Act in his set.

You have to be careful. Look at Jeanne Garrrafolo. (sic) She critised the war and can't get work.

Oh my God! You killed the thread, You bastard!

Yes. Sorry.

It had to be done. It was the kindest thing.

I love South Park it's probably my favorite cartoon. Cartman is ultimate especially when he's with butters.

"Canada on Strike"

Did you get your vouchers and bubble gum Curt? :)

Laughing out loud Good episode, good episode.
Did you see the Britney Spears episode? That one disturbed me for life!

You have seen South Park before right?

Never got into South Park. Dunno why. South Park fanatics are like 'Lord of the Rings' fanatics. In other words - FUCKIN' ANNOYING. Whistling nnocently

The Simpsons all the way for me!

South Park can be nasty (thinking back to the Imagination Land episode with the murderous raping forest animals).
In the episode Spears blows off the top of her head (only her jaw remains with a few fragments of her brain) but lives. Her manager tries to get her to continue her singing carer even though all she can do is make gurgling sounds. I don't think I laughed once during the episode I just sort of stared at the screen with my mouth open.

I'm the same way I stopped watching it for a few years and got back into it recently. I have a few die hard fans who annoy the crap out of me with their constant quoting of episodes. But I guess I deserve it for quoting Simpsons in high school all the time. Huh?

What Curt says. You have to see this one to believe it.

Simpsons is good, but I don't think you can compare the two just coz they are comic cartoons.
I don't go around quoting it all the time but I love watching it.
It's genius on so many levels. Sure a lot of the time it's shock value comedy, but there's always a reason/purpose/message behind the joke, it's not just random and gross for the sake of it.

True, you shouldn't necessarily compare them.

But if I did, I would choose South Park over the Simpsons eeeasily. The Simpsons I think has only made me properly laugh out loud once. Otherwise, it's just mildly amused smiles.

I have never watched South Park. I don't think.
