Pushing Daisies Page 4

Barry Sonnerfeld (sp?) who directed Men in Black directed some of the episodes including the pilot. He's a great director imo.

While I enjoyed this it did strike me as a bit twee. And the voiceover got very tired very fast. Not bad, though. Although I can't see it lasting more than a couple of seasons.

The silly cocks at ITV are going to "skip" episode 2 because they can't fit it in their schedules Rolling eyes WTF?! Why even bother, bah!

Just heard on the radio that ITV have taken the decision not to show episode two because there are nine episodes and they only have an eight week time slot. Cant be true can it?

Sorry. I just said what you said. >_<

ITV in can't count shocker.

Episode 2 is really good aswell, especially the frog scene.

What the f**k are ITV2, ITV3, ITV4 good for if not a situation like this? How much crap can ITV produce that they need 4 f**king channels worth? ITV1: Peter & Jordan, ITV2: Peter & Jordan behind the scenes, ITV3: Peter & Jordan behind the behind the scenes, ITV4: Peter & Jordan: Toilet Cam.

It's all because of the football. Surprise surprise.
This will just be the first of MANY things postponed/not shown for the rest of the 'season'.
F**king football.

(no offence to football fans!)
(Well, not much.)

Football needs to DIE. As do football fans. Proper TV should take precendence over such stupidity. That's what Sky Sports are f**king there for!

SPORTS OFF TERESTRIAL! SPORTS OFF TERRESTRIAL!

In summary: I agree with zooo in the strongest possible terms.

And in regards to the show, after reading a bit more I reckon it's an almighty scheduling cockup which for some mentalist reason, they've decided will look better if they just claim to be intentional. There can't be football on 24 hours a f**king day, so this stupid state of affairs is just barmy. They claim that they'll show ep 2 later in the year. But surely it'd make more sense to show ep 9 later on? I mean, these things have a story arc, do they not? ITV are doing nothing but pushing their viewers to download shows illegally.

But hey, ITV are f**ktards. There's a surprise! :)

ITV ARE f**ktards yes.

How can it have anything to do with football? What football do ITV show on Saturday nights?

Shit planning anyway. Something intriguing for once and ITV f**k it up.

What Lee said etc etc etc.

They really don't know when they're onto a good thing.

Is it the Euros that so many succesful British teams are playing in?

It's not football's fault!

There's nothing to stop ITV showing a double helping of Pushing Daisies one week (finale, maybe) to save them the week they... er... miscalculated.

Better still for fans, maybe acknowledge their cock-up and do a double-bill of 2 and 3 next weekend?

I haven't watched it by the way, but dropping episode 2 from a run of 9 seems as mental as anything. I know it's April, but it's not the first and this is disrespectful to everyone - the people behind the show and especially the viewers.

Oh they can't go moving that repeat of Midsommers that's on every week.

ITV has always been like this. They've f**ked up the broadcasting of hundreds of programmes. At least it's a massive show and you can get a download of the eppy.

Is it really worth getting so angry of this? Yes, it's a shabby way to treat a show, but at least it's going out at a decent time and getting repeated. Poor old Entourage and The Office are buried in the post midnight slot. And, with reference to Pushing Daisies, we're all going to sick of it by episode six anyway.

Precisely. Their schedulers have less brains than the managers at Network Rail. Or whatever they're called this week.

It's more the principal of the thing than Pushing Daisies specifically.

And ITV are claiming that they'll be repeating the whole show later in the year, complete with episode 2.

Idiots. Utter idiots.

As Godot says, and I think I mentioned, people will just go online to watch it, then stay there. ITV will lose their audience over the other 7 episodes, and advertisers similarly.
