David Renwick

Anyone else catch the excellent interview with him the other night? Now he would make a great Mentor!

It was great wasn't it - didn't see it all but defo a great bit of viewing for us aspiring writeurs

The man's a genius.

Wonderful writer, and an interesting man.

When was this and on what show? Mark Lawson?

So, is he a 'Renwick' or a 'Rennick'?

Renwick and yes the Lawson interview. Very entertaining.

First shown a few months back, on David Renwick night I think.

It's still available on iPlayer. Very good prog.

Fantastic.

Thanks guys, I'm watching it on iPlayer now.

And I'm moving it to the Other British Comedy forum now.

(I recorded back on 'David Renwick Night', but still haven't watched.)

Best sketch ever written?

It's just wonderful. 'Wrote which famous farce?" - '"British Leyland!"

Sums Renwick's brilliance up, they way he crafts the comedy is like no other.

I must get hold of 'Alexei Sayle's Stuff', which Renwick (and Andrew Marshall) wrote the majority of sketches for. I remember some absolutely genius sketches from the show.
