Yeah Wiki has plenty about Roland, nuthin about the series, ah well.

Blurby bits:
Set of Six
Channel 4 (Channel X)
Six episodes on Tuesdays; 12th June - 17th July at 11:50pm. 30 minutes each.

Rivron played all six Scrotes, with Tony Bilbow narrating.

Written by Ian Brown and Rowland Rivron. Directed by John Stroud (3 eps) and Gerald Scarfe (3 eps). Producer was Katie Lander.

I can type up a lengthy sit of bios if you're interested...

Some more info: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098906/

A video clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QfU73J5q8k

And it looks like there may be copies available: http://www.britmovie.co.uk/forums/looking-video-dvd-tv/12388-set-six-roland-rivron-tv-series.html

Hope that's a bit more helpful. Doesn't seem to be much info on it at all though.

'a comedy series done by Roland Rivron'

...an oxymoron surely?

Ooh, bitchy! :D

Please everybody... including you Aaron who should know better.... it's Rowland...

So it is! Thanks for pointing it out. :)

I used to love Doctor Scrote on The Last Resort with Jonathan Ross. And wasn't there a vaguely clueless chavvy character played by that woman from Gimme Gimme Gimme? She predated Karen Mathews by twenty years.

On the subject of Jonathan Ross, he's done a great deal to promote new comedy stars over the years. I seem to remember Vic and Bob popping up first in a weird hybrid/chat show he did. And the first time I ever saw Steve Coogan was doing Paul Calf on a Jonathan Ross chat show.
