And if that doesn't work try hitting it with a fish.

I've suggested worse things, Yeah I just remembered the BT software can get messed up sometimes, that might help sort it along with dropping the security on the router.

And since when has a suitable correction for im been rimming?
hmmm, spell checkers are just wrong!

Could try an apostrophe (nine), ahem?

patronizing

...Or setting it to English, not Yank. >_<

Saying that though who's your ISP?

She's with BT.

ok ok point taken, but i was using it as solely an example of spell checkers being very wrong,
'txt spk' is something i truly hate also, and people who don't have the time to include all the appropriate vowels shouldn't be allowed to waste what is obviously very valuable time chatting on forums, and should be punished accordingly. Stabbing, burning, wrapping in barbed-wire. All of these would be acceptable.

I truly hadn't noticed that

You wouldn't believe how many people do that. I guess you're using Firefox?

Now I thInk that's really anal. But It's amusing to think people are gonna get shouted at for doing it

:D

:$

>_<

(Might be anal, but it's annoying and against the rules!)

(Ooh, anal, kinky.)

Oh, don't get me wrong... I think it's a fantastic quality to have, it's about time that we cracked down on the horrible amount of illiteracy in this country. Immediately if not sooner.
Damn them and their pants.

Evidence is mounting up.

Laughing out loud I imagined you saying that as David Brent Laughing out loud

Ok, I'm really not getting enough sleep... where is the option to change my web browser spell checker?
I really can't find it...

Ellie, I take it that as you are using BT and you're talking about wireless, that you have one of those wonderfull Home-hubs? (humph) If so, you must make sure that the software that's running it on your PC is also fully installed on your laptop, as windows itself won't recognize the hub. Pain in the bum i know, but BT are a bunch of, well not very nice people to say the least.

If none of this works, tell me hexactly whats going on and i'll probably be able to assist from there...

< GRINS >

Found it

Funny, now so did I, with a cheeky shruggy type grin at the end....

Thanks so much for everyone's help guys.

Problem being, I can't install the software on to my lap top as my ethernet port doesn't work...it's set on my housemates.

Have you not got the disc then?

Yer, but it requires connecting to the hub with an ethernet cable.

Not if you do the set up wirelessly

That's part of the problem.

You will have to uninstall it all first ( told you it sucks )
then reinstall and selecting wireless setup, if the previous setup is for wired connection, it will not for any reason connect wirelessly, unless you reinstall everything...

BT are a bit gay
