Chappers,

I remember reading somewhere that The Good Life was filmed partly in Northwood.

Curse you Eve Matheson for leaving, it was the best part she ever did on the TV. I tried to watch later episodes with Lesley Dunlop but hated it. Just ruined it for me, worse than when Richard Coyle left Coupling, though his career has gone a lot better than hers.

Up to last week Lesley Dunlop could be seen in Emmerdale but her character has just gone on a 3 month world cruise.

Anton Rodgers was in a couple of sitcoms in the eighties wasn't he ?
That Fresh Fields one with Julia Roberts as well
Not sure why he was the go to guy at the time

Duncan McKenzie surely?

Most definitely.

Anton was a popular actor in the 60s in Dickens and other Sunday tea time dramas.

Who's that?

Oh I see what I did now

Does no one remember the Julia Roberts Version?

I do love the slightly haunting theme tune to this. Definitely in my top 5 all time sitcom tunes.

It's an old classic - possibly from the 1930s.

From the 1938 stage musical and (1944 film) Knickerbocker Holiday.
