Huh??

I made a disparaging comment.
Thin-skinned skin-heads.

Right Said Fred blocked me.

Did you think to take off all the handles and the things what held the candles?

Just been down to Rye for a couple of days by train (I had a ticket to Rye and I don't care!) for my beloved's big birthday.

Spent yesterday on Camber Sands and passed the old Pontin's Camp where I had a holiday 60 odd years ago. There is still Pontin's signage there (I thought they'd gone out of business) but the camp was all locked up.

Also of course "Carry on - follow that camel" was filmed there.

They do it down on Camber Sands; they do it at Waikiki...

Pulling mussels?

On 30 November 2023, Britannia Hotels, owners of Pontins, suddenly closed the parks at Prestatyn and Camber Sands with immediate effect

Interestingly (if that's the right word) Pontin-Go ran in the 1965 & 1966 Grand Nationals and Go Pontinental ran in Red Rum's first Grand National in 1973.

Pontin's in Camber Sands was the first place I ever visited in the UK. I was there for the All Tomorrow's Parties music festival in 2002. Amazing lineup!

It was run-down, but we had a great time. They put us in a room shared with a couple from Belgium and they brought us a bunch of nice chocolates. Kim Deal tapped me on the shoulder and said, "Aren't they great?!" while Cheap Trick were closing out the festival. Most of the crowd didn't seem to know them.

You had to buy little tickets to pay for electricity in your room. It took me forever to locate the little ticket reader under the sink. Bizarre.

At the airport for a flight to Charlotte, North Carolina. Going to meet my daughter and my brother's family there for the North American Aston Villa meetup. It's hosted at a brewery, so it should be a fun weekend.

Flight is an hour late. :( Ran into some old friends on the airport shuttle, so that was nice.

Just had my Covid booster jab.................🤔

Is it still free for you?
I think I have to pay.

Oh, I thought it was free for everyone, as I've never heard any mention of anyone paying, in all the time I've had the jabs, and certainly have never paid for one - that's a new thing on me

I think they've whacked elegibility up to 75+ along with those with compromised immune systems.
But I think they've raised the bar in that a well, as I didn' get a text ths time - whereas I did when it was rife.

The spring one, last year & this year, has only been provided by the NHS for those aged 75+ (or with certain conditions); the autumn/winter one last year was provided for those aged only 65+ (or with certain conditions).

Yes, I received a text, owing to having the double whammy of now being an 80 year old with COPD 😟
