Great Stuff Godot, I was cracking up really funny
And so self effacing, as I would be if I had your face

I spent the first fifteen years of my life looking for a seam or a join, in the hope it was a mask.

These days I find the ten inch knob and trust fund somehow gets me through.

Ya spawny wazzock.
But well done .

Ah, so spawny is used by Yorkshire folk. I thought it was just a Scouse/Manc word...

You're right it's all about the spawn - as evidenced by the fact that the overall FPL league is currently being won by a 67 year old woman. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2025/mar/29/susan-clarke-67-beats-millions-to-top-the-fantasy-premier-league

We're being beaten by a lass. She's got 2186 points. That's 237 more than me and 579 more than you. We need to raise our game.

I know Godot is aware, but In this day and age I feel the need to point out to certain others, that this was just a twee play on words because the word effacing has the word face in it (kind of) and that was the point of the alleged joke
It was in no way an insult about Godots ugly face.

Now that's cleared up and thought police have crawled away again we can continue

Kept faith with Palmer being fit, but now Kluivert's gone down (you are NOT meant to win) - mind you, that might have helped Ipswich with their 1-2 away victory over Bournemouth

Oh, and thanks Salah for doing f**k all

You're still the highest scorer of the week though (although I have 16 points to come off the bench yet - but no more players).

True, true and Palmer now playing, but will they not sub Kluivert for me with one of my two Defenders or Forward?

Yes, 16 more for you!

Now in 5th place and am getting vertigo, up here playing with the big boys - I don't bet, especially on the gee-gees, but might have a go while my luck is on a high at the GN, so what's your tip for that? 😉

Yes, you have Young followed by Murillo to come on off the bench.

My tip for the Grand National? Don't. Find another race that doesn't have 4m 2f, 30 fences and 33 opponents to overcome.

Thank you - I hope they pick Murillo with his 9 points

And yes, never been a fan of horse racing, let alone the GN which always seems to be a horrible debacle

It's not a question of who they pick; it's a question of who you picked when you selected your team for the week. And that person is, unfortunatelly for you, Ashley Young. Unless Palmer doesn't play tonight.

I knew there was a catch 😢

Thanks Steve. It's a bizarre experience trying to be funny on here - like doing stand up at Guantanamo Bay. You go in with low expectations and you're still disappointed.

I've PM'd you about your upcoming Manager of the Month.

Very nice.

Can I ask you why you kept Wood and Kluivert on your wildcard when both players were flagged. And why didn't you buy any Palace?

Shame I didn't have Murillo in No.1 position on the bench, as that would have given me the highest points of 84

Well, no-one seemed to be able to confirm whether Wood & Kluivert were definitely out - or, if they were, for how long - and of course with the wildcard, unlike the free hit, you retain the team for future weeks. So, if/when I wanted to put them back in in the future (and you know how reluctant I would be to leave out Kluivert again), that would necessitate waiting for free transfer availability or, alternatively, spending points. That is why I chose the substitutes that I did: an in-form striker potentially to replace Wood and an attacking midfielder potentially to replace Kluivert.

Of course that may all have backfired with one defender now also definitely out, another defender probably out and a further striker apparently doubtful.

With regard to Palace, apart from anything else, their forthcoming fixtures - a game against their big rivals, followed by away to Man City, away to Newcastle, away to Arsenal and a blank week - didn't exactly leap out for point scoring potential.

My nephew supports Fulham
And as soon as he saw the draw for the cup he wasn't hopeful, maybe becaue Palace had already beaten Fulham a week or two before
But the boring punchline to this is that he has a constant reminder of this hoodoo as he lives in Fulham Palace Road
