British Comedy Quiz Page 103

Very hard! Good though.
8 out of 10, 4 out of 5 for me. Lots of lucky/educated guesses!
Got The Liver Birds and Donald Sinden wrong.

More my sort of thing at last, not necessarily my era ahem, but the era in which a lot of the older stuff was still being shown when I was a nipper, so a more pleasing 8/10 & 3/5. Qs 2,4,12,15 wrong.

Interesting to see two Qs about change of actors for same role after first series. Glad to say this doesn't seem to happen today, as that ruined several good sitcoms for me back in the day. But then sitcoms rarely make it to 2nd series now tee hee.

Quiz 349 from Hercules!

5/10. I only really knew the Only When I Laugh question 100%, my other correct answers were educated guesses/seemed familiar.
I'll predict Billy to do the best this week.

Correct: 1, 2, 6, 7, 8.

Good try 5/10, as maybe it's an age thing 😉

Thanks again.
4 and 1 but I didn't know any really and the closest was an educated guess for Coogan. But I'm still proud to know bugger all about OFAH.

😉

I don't think I've done enough to justify your confidence. I only knew numbers 1, 3, 4, 5, 7 & 10. Plus guessed # 8 - completely randomly. Should perhaps have known # 6. But didn't.

Well done Billy, especially on No. 4 Popsy Wopsy, as I didn't think anyone would get that - such a great character and funny act though

Wow, I would say that is brilliant Chris, and the Liver Birds one you would need to be a die-hard fan

Well done Alf, and only just pipped by Chris - ✔️VG ⭐

I remember seeing the act on The Good Old Days, many of which I have recorded on my Skybox and watch periodically.

A relatively recent example that springs to mind is Lee's father-in-law in Not Going Out.

As others have commented, lots of questions about bygone eras this week. A few topics I'm only familiar with via documentaries and clip shows.

So a few guesses hit or missed and thankfully I was better on the more contemporary questions resulting in 7/10 and 5/5. Got questions 4-6 wrong. Thanks Herc 😊

Thanks Niki, you did well, and need to search out Popsy Wopsy, as I think it's very funny - watch here as Good Old Days Chairman Leonard Sachs introduces his "niece" who he is trying to get her to break into show business with her "act" 😆

Gregor Fisher took over the role of the father Ray in The Cockfields , following the death of Bobby Ball

Quiz 350 from Niki!
4/10 for me. I knew the ones I got right, the wrong answers were all guesses anyway. The first question almost caught me out, had to read the wording carefully!
I used to like The Tall Guy - watched it a few times on video, though haven't seen it for probably over 30 years now...
Correct: 1, 2, 4, 9.

Got caught out on Q1!
Got 6 out of 10 overall. Got 1, 5, 6 and 10 wrong.
The quiz says I got 4 out of 5 on the bonus questions. But I got them all right ! So I say, 5 out of 5!
Excellent quiz !

4 and 3 but not as many guesses as usual. To my horror, I knew the CackAdder one, but I'm letting myself off on the grounds that it involves The Young Ones.

6/10 & 4/5 which will do for me on one of Niki's. (I wonder if Mark rearranged the original order, as I thought the harder Bonus five were far easier. He does that sometimes, ask Herc 🤯)

Without random guesses I got # 2, 7, 8 & 10 correct.

Well done a plate, and I'd recommend a rewatch of The Tall Guy if you can, I last watched it last year - of its time certainly, but it's not aged badly.

Well done AJK - and yes, the Chelmsford 123 question was swapped with the Red Dwarf question as Mark wanted to use the Chelmsford 123 picture on the main page.

Well done Billy, and I always say that random guesses count because you learn from them.

Utter disaster! 2/10 and 2/5 - even less than MM!

Shuffles away with head hung low in shame, sobbing softly...........😢
