Perfectly understandable what with us argumentative sods! 👍

I can't believe I'm doing this, but here's my smiley 😊

I expect an asteroid will hit the Earth now...............

☄️

Just read about Jack Vettriano. A brilliant artist. RIP.

Bill Dare. Absolutely gutted. An incredible comic talent, prolific and generous.

Tragic...

Loved his radio work for years

Brian James of The Damned. "New Rose" and "Neat Neat Neat" are absolute classics.

Nooooooo

😞

I remember when I first heard the Damned on the John Peel show in the Autumn of '76.
Not yet 17, it changed my life (or so it felt at the time).
Out went the Prog Rock LP's - in came Punk & New Wave - and, unexpectedly, thanks to a savvy mate, a lot of 60's US Garage Rock - which, if your looking for them, is where you'll find the roots of Punk.
This is the John Peel "Punk Special" which I also remember listening to.
Why I didn't record it at the time - I'll never know.

Oh no! They did a tour last year (?) with the original lineup. Shame I missed it.

Great albums.
Original pressings are worth a few bob.

Mine were from the recent RSD release although I had a CD copy already from the first one.

RIP. Yes lots suddenly in their 70s.

I think he was one of the last people to interview John Lennon

And unlike many of his colleagues from his era- he wasn't a colossal nonce
