What are you watching on TV? Page 2,325

🤢🤢🤢

Top of the Pops from 1979 on BBC4.

A couple of bands I'd totally forgotten about. The Late Show's Bristol Stomp and the Leighton Buzzards.

Two Men on a Bike

Was really looking forward to this on C4, as the two men in question were David Baddiel and Hugh Dennis (Mary Whitehouse Experience), as I thought if would be a great laugh.

BUT NO, you wouldn't have thought two comedians of their stature could make a programme SO boring.

Very disappointed, and of course, will not be watching again

Finally getting to watch (free) Blood Actually and Apocalypse Slough.

I think I said this before and really to my mind these are the modern equivalents on the Carry On films. A regular cast plus lots of current comedy actors.

That actually sounds quite good.

I've now seen one even worse, which was apparently cobbled together from 2 episodes of "Space Ranger".............

Menace from Outer Space (1956)

Absolutely dire!! So bad, I had to watch it to the end to see if it would improve...........Nope, and to make matters worse it had an all American "smart" kid in it (on a space flight!) who was SO cute 🤢🤮

Has that ever worked, Herc?

Although according to my research it features a character called Winky. That's a quality character name.

Manhunt (1970)

No, and that character was played by the oh so cute all American kid, whose fame went to his head, sank into drink and drugs, married three times, turned violent etc. etc. and finally killed himself aged only 39

So, you see, you see all life with these films 😁

Alexei Sayle and Nigel Planer were on this evening's episode of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip. Fairly low-key, pleasant enough viewing. Although the first thing they do is sing 'Sex and Drugs and Rock n' Roll' in unison, and Alexei suggests he could kill Nigel in order to win, which you don't get when Aled Jones is doing it I suppose.

I thought it was quite a pleasant programme, which I only watched because it was them. What made me smile is Nigel looking oh so like his Neil character with the face of a kid in a sweet shop, seemingly amazed at what was going on, especially at the auction.

Watching Mad Men all the way through - as I stopped half-way when it first came out,
And I'm staring at the old boy playing the avuncular owner of the advertising agency, and something keeps bugging me.
It was a face I sort of new - but couldn't place.
And no wonder - the two versions of this mans face were about 60 years apart.
The guy was Robert Morse - famous in the sixties for wacky, goofy characters.

You could have knocked me down with the proverbial.
He died a couple of years back.

So you're having second thoughts about going into the profession.

Adolescence on Netflix. Bloody amazing. Each episode is filmed in one take 😲

Heard good things about that.
It's on the list.
Fear on Amazon Prime is all a bit creepy - it's got the scottish bloke from Line of Duty in it.

Classic Albums on Sky Arts - Bat out of Hell by Meatloaf.

Love it or hate it, it's really an epic and I love the drama and extravagance of it.
