I remember when I first heard the Damned on the John Peel show in the Autumn of '76.
Not yet 17, it changed my life (or so it felt at the time).
Out went the Prog Rock LP's - in came Punk & New Wave - and, unexpectedly, thanks to a savvy mate, a lot of 60's US Garage Rock - which, if your looking for them, is where you'll find the roots of Punk.
This is the John Peel "Punk Special" which I also remember listening to.
Why I didn't record it at the time - I'll never know.

Oh no! They did a tour last year (?) with the original lineup. Shame I missed it.
