Unsolved Histories with Lucy Worsley
A great little series questioning the modern narrative of historical events.
And then there is Lucy ♥ I'm probably not alone.

Yes! That too. My mum always watched the bit where they fix it then muted the bit where people come back in and cry. Good advice I think.

I've been watching the latest series of Unforgotten. I watched the opening titles and I saw the name Michelle Dotrice. I hadn't noticed her in it, then I realised she was the old almost bed-ridden woman.
"12 to the Moon"
I know these late 50s/early60s Sci-Fi films can be so bad as to be interesting, but this one was just plain bloody stupid on so many counts.
Absolutely ridiculous to have 12 people in a rocket, let alone 2 cats, 2 rabbits, 2 monkeys and a dog, all walking about as though they were in someone's front room, with only about four of them having dialogue and only one reasonably famous face of Tom Conway, who was George Sanders' far less famous brother.

That actually sounds quite good.

It sounds like a prototype of the classic sci-fi idea of a bunch of people travelling into space to do something. Who knows, without 12 to the Moon bravely leading the way we might not have had Alien, Event Horizon or Sunshine.
Or Button Moon.
On the downside, we did get Lost in Space

A year later Kubrick made 2001: A Space Odyssey.
SFX appear to have moved on somewhat.
