I read the news today oh boy! Page 2,927

"Dictator" Zelensky in 2019 in his inaugural address after becoming leader of Ukraine

"I do not want my picture in your offices: the President is not an icon, an idol or a portrait. Hang your kids' photos instead, and look at them each time you are making a decision." - Volodymyr Zelenskyy

Trump has a huge picture of his own police mug shot in the Oval office

Guess which of these two men is a total prick?

And on the subject of treacherous right wing scumbags....

"The former leader of Reform UK in Wales has appeared in court accused of accepting bribes to make statements in the European Parliament that would benefit Russia.

Nathan Gill, 51, from Llangefni on Anglesey, is facing eight counts of bribery and one count of conspiracy to commit bribery."

Will this shameful story be on tomorrow's daily mail? Nah...

Rachel Reeves cv is more explosive than a Reform UK member taking bungs off Russia

"They are legally obliged to"

They are also obliged to investigate - and, more importantly, prevent - all crimes. Including shoplifting, car thefts & burglaries. But they don't bother themselves with that.

(Awaits knock on the door of Bunter Court...)

Since the tories scrapped thousands of police men and women during austerity- they probably don't have enough resources to do their job properly

Imagine that?

Actually axing, police?! Utterly wreckless

"In September 2010, the police workforce in England and Wales had 243,143 officers and staff. After four years of austerity, in September 2016, this number had shrunk by nearly 45,000. Over the same period, police community officer (PCSO) numbers were cut from 16,376 to 10,551 - a decline of 36%"

Thousands and thousands of cops - scrapped

I quite agree. And have said so many times. So, given that, it makes it is even more unacceptable that they choose to waste what resources they have.

And incase you missed it on the left wing BBC NEWS website as it was up for about 5 minutes in one of the small boxes below the much bigger 'headlines' an independent MP has been JAILED for violent assault on one of his own constituents, committed when he was a Labour MP.

Predictably he got a fraction of the sentence a woman got for an online comment that led to no physical harm whatsoever. Starmer's Britain!

Not only that but his lawyer then had the cheek to seek to effectively quash the small custodial sentence by requesting bail, pending appeal. Perhaps Labour should start holding all constituency surgeries in boxing rings, so the MPs can legally punch hell out of their own locals? 🤔

It's not being reported much in the Tory press either. Why? Because an unknown mp being jailed is not a big story and affects virtually no one.
And the government don't decide these things.

Starmer's Britain!

What a daft statement that is.
Judges, appointed under a Tory government, applying laws and recommended sentences as legislated by the previous Tory government.

That's the same Starmer who, when it suited him, chose to disregard the due process of the law is it? (The police will be making arrests, individuals will be held on remand, charges will follow and convictions will follow. You are likely to be dealt with within a week.)

There go those goalposts again.

When unusual circumstances arise, I.e. gangs of racist lunatics go on the rampage in towns and cities up and down the country attacking people and setting fire to buildings - unusual actions may be required to keep YOU safe

That's what a strong PM does

And the police (2) will visit you if you criticise a labour councilor on FB.
A brilliant tactic to make people frightened of using free speech.

Strong PM my arse.

The Police where following the law and correct procedure

Do you want the police to do what the law says - or ignore it and suit themselves?

Or do you live in some ludicrous fantasy world where Starmer picked up the phone himself and demanded cops go round there?

Thank you. So you concur with me that Starmer can - and does - influence the due process of the law. Contrary to the previous posts by Messrs Hallam & Lazzard that assert that he can't and doesn't.

It's reassuring that you agree with me but we mustn't make a habit of it. People will talk.

Like when encountering a spate of shoplifting you mean?

Sheep will always baa and blindly follow the lead sheep.
