Controversy in the Netherlands yesterday as Fortuna Sittard played a few minutes of their game v Heerenveen with TWELVE men!😳
Fortuna scored a 90th minute equaliser as well.

Arsenal, PSG and Bayern in trouble for promoting Visit Rwanda.

Seriously I'm surprised these clubs have sported this on their shirts.

All this nonsense about Plymouth beating "one of Europe's best sides"; "first time a team at the top of the Premier League has been beaten by... blah...blah".

No. Liverpool reserves are not at the top of the Premier League; Liverpool Reserves are not one of the best teams in Europe.

In the past, all teams played their first XI. Indeed they were fined by the FA if they didn't. When, in the 3rd round in 1975, non-league Wimbledon became the first non-league team of the 20th century to beat a top-flight team away from home, Burnley fielded their entire 1st team including the likes of Brian Flynn & Leighton James. When they drew with the reigning champions, Leeds Utd, in the 4th round at Elland Road, Leeds had an entire team of household names (Harvey; Reaney; F Gray; Bremner, McQueen, Madeley, McKenzie, Yorath, Lorimer, Giles E Gray). Now that was an achievement by a non-league side.

The FA has criminally overseen the devaluation of its once flagship tournament to such an extent (including doing away with replays; allowing the fixtures to be spread over 6 days; playing complete rounds midweek; messing around with the KO time of the final; hiding away the draw so that no-one knows when it's taking place; even allowing Man Utd to opt out completely one season) that the results no longer carry any significance.

Still cracking result though with superb saves by the Plymouth goalkeeper, and love the after match interview with man of the match Nikola Katic (not verbatim) "Yeah f**king great and I feel f**king great", with one of the ITV pundits apologising afterwards for the "industrial language" 😆

Everton were unlucky not to win and the behaviour of the opposition players and fans was to be expected, classless tourists.

Congratulations on a 2-2 draw.

Joining up with friends at Roots Hall tonight and staying overnight to take a long walk off an even longer pier tomorrow morning.

I see that Everton's new Bramley Dock stadium is up and running. They had an inaugural match last night.

After a goal less 1st half, the game warmed up in the 2nd half; the weather didn't.
