Currently listening to Bob Harris's Sounds of the Seventies. Kate and Anna McGarricle on now. Not so many hits as Johnnie Walker used to play.

I find the same contrast with Sound of the Sixties. Tony Blackburn tends to play mainly hits; Brian Matthew used to toss in a few lesser known tracks for our delectation.

He does occasionally play some obscure Northern Soul stuff. Not Lenny Gamble though.
