Well let's at least hope, for their sake, it forces. a re-think from Trump on his Executive Order to freeze the hiring Air Traffic Controllers - an already understaffed resource.
Catastrophes are always jumped on by conspiracy theorists, both left and right alike. During last years hurricanes that hit America it was falsely claimed - including by Donald Trump - that hurricane relief was being spent on migrants. Other theories held it that Biden was somehow geo-engineering the weather. I believe one of the key pushers of that conspiracy theory was prominent Trump backer and all round loony-tune Marjorie Taylor Greene.

From what I heard in the news, it was a trainee helicopter pilot looking at the wrong aircraft. He was told to be aware of the one landing, but it seems he may have had his eye on the one taking off and ploughing into the AA plane landing, which you can see in the video.
