I did enjoy eary discovery, but found it grating later on when it got too cloying often for no apparent plot reason
And Michael was a little too perfect to be an interesting character in my opinion

You might have hit the nail on the head. I really like the stories on Discovery, and loved some of the arcs (especially the Mirroverse stuff in season one) but do agree the characters are all a bit too bland and nice. The show would probably have benefited from a bit more vinegar and p**s from the main players.

Ooh I see there's another new star trek series starting on the 24th with Michelle Yeoh
I'll give that a watch

What station? I bet it's not a free one.

Probably Paramount I dont know
but definitey not free

I know you ask that a lot , do you have any streaming services at all Chappers?
A sneaky Netflix or something or even Prime just for the free Amazon deliveries

Or are you staunchly against anything outside the TV licence fee?

I just don't want to pay more than I do already.

I think the new thing is a made-for-TV film (on Paramount+ as you say) rather than an actual series. (I don't really watch new Star Trek stuff, but Michelle Yeoh talked about it on the recent Graham Norton Show.. IIRC it was originally going to be a series, then they made it into one feature-length film instead).

Even easier to watch
cheers
