Quote: Chris Hallam @ 1st December 2024, 1:37 PM

When have I done that?

eg?

I didn't realise he'd just said it! I apologise.

I was too harsh.

It's a very good series, the London Bus and Train factory ones were riveting. 🙄 The milk one blew his mind there was so much instrumentation involved, and the cake and biccie ones are always good. But if you don't like him you can see many of the same products being made in Made In Britain, with the voices of Jimmy Nail etc.

My favourite bit in the BBC one is usually the nerdy Historian woman, who's just as excited by it as the other two are. I've worked in a couple of smaller scale factories and it's the most exhausting work I've done, there's hardly a let up on the assembly line side. Not for me anymore.

How much of your life do you waste digging through old posts? Life's too short. Read a book. Look at the stars. Make love to your wife.

I was right about the election anyway, as mentioned.

Just during half time in the Liverpool v Man City game. With enough time left over to make a cup of tea and warm up a mince pie before the re-start. Only took happy to provide a service to my friends and colleagues when asked.

Of the last 15 presidential elections, only the Bush/Gore contest of 2000 was closer.

But you were still wrong.

How so?
Hope you didn't lose too much by betting wrongly on a Trump landslide.
(Trump was also morally the worst option).

If she's entitled to it, she' should take it.
You or I would - in fact many pensioners have been taking the WFA with exactly the same rationale, even though they didn't need it.
Should she (or they) be entitled?
Probably not.
Change the law - like they did with the WFA.

But who's responsible for changing the law? The very people who benefit from it. Enough said.

Chris you're arguing with people that spent weeks claiming Labours landslide 172 seat majority and historically large election win - was a narrow squeak!

I will not pardon my son......ok I'll pardon him.

The Democrats playing into Trump's hands yet again.
