"OK we now have a new King. We should plonk him on a throne and stick a metal hat on his bonce yeah?"

"No problem, that will be 72 million pounds please"

"Bargain!"

£1 per person.

I think one ends up in the kind of town where you feel most comfortable.
Twitter was getting too grim.

I'm only on facebook because I don't to waste any more of my precious time left on this planet. I signed up with Twatter (X) but maybe only made one post. Instagram seems much too poncey.

£1 per person.

That is a "Bargain!"

My kinda town.

Suddenly he's Frank Sinatra my life, already

A petition for another general election on the government site has reached nearly 2 million signatures.

Petition
Call a General Election
I would like there to be another General Election.

I believe the current Labour Government have gone back on the promises they laid out in the lead up to the last election.

Broken promises on tax rises
Rayner's not registering things she gains from
Reeves fibbing on her CV
One MP charged with assault on member of public
Another accused of racism against fellow MP of colour
Several more accused of being anti semitic, which they claim isn't racist
100 waste their time trying to stop Trump getting elected

They've certainly been busy since they gained power, I'll give em that.

Petitions count for nothing. The vast majority of the public don't want another election. Even if the PM wanted to waste everyone's time by calling another one so soon after winning such a huge majority, the King could justifiably refuse to allow it on the grounds it would be entirely unnecessary. Labour would easily beat Badenoch's Tories anyway.
The next election will be in 2028 or 2029. The Tories had their chance this time. They comprehensively blew it.

Because the voters naively believed what Labour promised.

We got over 6 million.
Didn't get us anywhere.
Mind you, I was surprised how many people from Botswana felt moved to sign the petition.

That's just your opinion. I doubt many people signing the petition ever wanted a Labour Government anyway.

Exactly.

The idea of a general election every six months is exhausting, although it would be entertaining to have two or three new governments every single year.

Lol

Broken promises?

The last government promised to

Stop the boats
Level up in the north
Build 40 new hospitals
No new tax rises
Cut NHS waiting lists
Ban no-fault evictions
End rough sleeping
Build 300,000 new homes per year
Crack down on unfair practices in leasehold, such as escalating ground rents
Reach net zero by 2050
HS2

I could go on and on

Anyway number of those manifesto promises kept?

Zero

No, really?

😆

It doesn't take much to trigger some does it.
Especially the one who always thinks two wrongs make a right.

Clearly you were hoping to trigger people.

Apart from the tax one (which is arguable anyway) none of these are real, serious issues.
The first few are just a list of silly Tory tabloid nicknames for the PM.
The MP having a fight is bad but has nothing to do with the government.
Some Labour supporters volunteered for the Harris campaign? Again, not an issue.
Too right the government is busy. The Tories left us all in a real mess!
