If Salah hadn't taken his shirt off when he scored, and got himself booked, I would be 1 point ahead of this week's H2H opponent instead of 1 point behind. I mean, who takes their shirt off outdoors in England in November. Especially when they grew up with Egyptian temperatures.

It might be a moot point though as I still have one player to play and a non-playing captain that will take the 1st subs place.

After a week of smelling Steve's breath and cologne (Tom Ford?) on my neck I've managed to put some distance between us again. Bad luck missing out on Flekken's first clean sheet Steve. Not sure why you played Sels instead considering they were away to Arsenal. presumably hoping for a bunch of save points.

Everyone still pretty close and no-one out of the prizes yet except perhaps Goodlad, who's made his bed - to use a footballing metaphor - by spurning Haaland AND Salah. Can't think why, but I respect his bloodymindedness.

Yes I've just noticed that in my midgameweek review in the midst my nosedive down the table, oh dear, still a nice bonus for me though. 🙂 More worryingly I've also noticed I've brought in the same form players as Godot in an attempt to catch up on his now hundred point lead, which obviously won't happen with virtually the same team. 🤔 A new strategy is needed...hmm...hmm...hmm... Is Andy Carol still playing?

Or is that more faith in our penalty mad refs? A hattrick of penalties! I'm thinking back to the 1970s games and wondering if there'd be any open play goals at all with all the penalties these modern day woke pansy refs would be giving. 😟 (Hasn't it got a bit silly?)
