Qs 2, 7, 10 and 14 all seemed very hard to me. Good quiz though.

That'd suit me, I'm from that neck of the woods myself! You could ask something about Ian Lavender, you probably know he used to be from round these parts too. I saw him once, out and about, and was going to go up and say "stupid boy!" or something, but I didn't. Not much of an anecdote really, now I read it back, but there we go.

You should've gone up to Richard Wilson instead and said "I don't believe it". He'd have appreciated that.

Stupid boy 🤪

Which was used in a Father Ted episode when Dougal encouraged Ted to go up to Richard Wilson, who they happen to see, which he did with much gusto and Wilson beat Ted up - so funny. 😆

You only got one less overall than the highest scorer here with your 4/5 on the bonus Qs, which I genuinely thought were hard, which is partly why Q10 stayed where it was, even though that proved to be the hardest by some margin.
As of last night, only 4% of all quizzers got that one right, the next lowest was Q7 on 18%, so that Q10 might have set a record of the hardest BCG Quiz Q yet. So you all should have moved to Sarf London, wassa matter wiv ya. 😊
Q2 answer joke is on youtube if you wanted to see one of the best delivered jokes of all time imo, btw. Cheers for all comments.

Except, of course, Hounslow is not in South London; it's West London. And I speak as a native South Londoner.

😆 Nice one Billy
Yes, except if you've worked for a company for 30 years who designate all TW post codes to the South London sector (like I have) so you always say it that way. And living south of the river you'd likely know Hounslow was in TW. How are the lemons this morning, Billy?

So how did the serial Dad's Army Quiz setter do on Q14? You didn't say.

Yes, I remember that. I was never that into Father Ted as it would be disrespectful to The Young Ones, but that was a good Moment. I once heard that one of the reasons Harry Enfield dropped the 'Only me' character was that it was getting beyond cringeworthy. With my last name I'm used to hilarious comments.
Good quiz, but I'm surrounded by people who are out of my league.
Quote: Hercules Grytpype Thynne @ 23rd October 2024, 3:20 PM**So presumably Niki comes from Sarf London, then 🤪
Closest I've been to that is spending a couple of hours in Lewisham about seven or eight years ago.
You got off lightly.

Yes, but postcodes don't always relate to that area - we have a couple in EA where Suffolk codes cover part of Norfolk and vice versa. which is part and parcel (puns galore here) of the perversa Royal Mail
Don't change the subject to deflect criticism of your questions 🤪, but so you can smirk, I got it wrong as I was convinced the answer was the Mills Bomb
...as used in the most celebrated episode when Jones had one stuck down his trousers. No smirk from me, hard Q even for DA fans that.
Good try, but the naughty red herring I wanted er expected people to trip up on was the rifle, as they obviously had one, just not that model. Where's that smirking emoji?

Not a criticism of the quiz (I wouldn't dare; someone might ask me to set one) - I don't think South London was mentioned in the quiz itself. Just a response to your preceding post.

Yes, a bit naughty that one, as I was sure it was a Lee Enfield Mainwaring was holding in the photo - very similar!! Grrrrr
