When the polls on who will win are agenda-driven, you have to look at bookmakers' odds.
They are the ones that could lose money if they get it wrong.
Trump is favourite.

Why would the polls be agenda-driven? You were similarly sceptical about the polls predicting a Labour victory which turned out to be correct.
Predicting a candidate will win doesn't necessarily help them win. Often very much the opposite.
Currently the polls put Harris and Trump neck and neck.
Trump may well end up winning, sadly.
Why do you think they are not?
Polls might have them even - but the bookmakers don't and they're no fools.
They are just polls based on samples of people's stated voting intentions. What would they have to gain by deliberately forecasting the wrong outcome?
As discussed on here before, many polls have got it wrong in the last decade or so, Brexit and Trump's victory both turned the poll forecasts on their head. They are open to deliberate misdirection by those being polled, that was the main conclusion of how the EU ref pollsters got it so wrong.
They are not as reliable as they once were, and as tactical voting has finally caught on with many, so has tactical poll answering, the internet being the main facilitator for this new development.

They got Brexit wrong.
Thy don't make predictions, they follow the money.
I'm not saying opinion polls are always right. Just saying that they are not being deliberately falsified in pursuit of some imaginary hidden agenda.
Quote: Alfred J Kipper @ 20th October 2024, 1:46 AMWell we're not in the EU anymore, so his anti EU policies surely can't affect us? If he were to be Pres again, which I just can't see, myself..
TARIFFS
it will have a huge impact on the world of trade
And we will suffer even worse due to our self imposed isolation from the EU
Don't believe his lies that he is this wonderful businessman- he's an incompetent moron
"Donald Trump ran 6 businesses that declared bankruptcy because they couldn't pay their bills"
Which will surely be offset by his expected (tariff free!) trade deal with us which the weaselly Biden has rejected, and no doubt instructed Harris to also do. You are deliberately putting false projections of a possible Trump victory.
Well let's look forward to more of this then....
"US tariffs on steel and aluminium imports from allies in Europe and North America are "disappointing" and "absurd", the UK trade secretary says.
Liam Fox questioned the US decision to impose a 25% tax on steel and a 10% tax on aluminium from the EU, Mexico and Canada, from midnight, US time.
UK Steel said the tariffs will damage not only the UK steel sector but also the US economy.
The EU said it would retaliate with tariffs on products such as US bourbon.
The tariffs apply to a wide range of steel and aluminium products such as sheets, plates, bars, pipes and "semi-finished" products.
The new tariffs will make steel and aluminium from the UK more expensive in the US, which could lead to a decline in demand for it - potentially affecting thousands of jobs.
The organisation's director Gareth Stace said UK steel producers were "going to be hit hard".
You want more of this?
Odd
Still at least it will be "funny" if this cretin wins
"Donald Trump ridiculed as he discusses late golfer Arnold Palmer's penis at Pennsylvania rally"

Polymarket in the US currently has Harris with 69% chance of winning
Under Biden's presidency, the UK's largest steel production plant has just closed. How is that better?

Which won't affect us as thankfully we are not in that farcical lopsided cartel anymore. Scotch is still drunk by more Americans than Bourbon and we export it direct to the US without the interference of the EU now.

The US economy has been much stronger under Biden than it was under Trump.
Yes but how big was Arnold Palmers cock??
Which hasn't helped us, as Biden's an anti British president. Trump famously isn't, so which one would you prefer for Britain's future? (Assuming Harris will be influenced by her mentor and predecessor, as currently looks the case.)
All the political experts are saying she's just going to be a Biden clone, with maybe a bit more for racial minorities and women. She won't be interested in Britain or the special relationship or even the half of Americans who didn't vote for her. With her, the USA will be moving to the looney left.
Biden hasn't been anti-British at all. Harris will be much better for everyone (aside from Russia and other dodgy regimes) simply because she isn't totally unhinged.
