Labour have rarely looked more secure in office.

As one Conservative centrist described the party's position as "bleak", the Tory Reform Group (TRG), which represents many one nation Conservatives, said it could not endorse either Badenoch or Jenrick.

"Both have used rhetoric and focused on issues which are far and away from the party at its best," it said in a statement, adding that the group had also been "consistently disappointed by the lack of engagement from the two candidates chosen by MPs".

Did they not notice that their position was bleak as it was?

Seems a bit petty.
I mean, such small numbers would hardly cause much of a disturbance

The point is that if this HAD been Labour - the daily mail /express would want Angela Rayner dragged through the streets and horse whipped

And still you won't apologise for your childish unacceptable comments.

Kamala; under no circumstances go into Rafah.

Now he's removed a portrait of William Shakespeare from No 10 -the latest occasion of a painting of a great national figure to be taken out of Downing Street, portraits of Elizabeth I, Sir Walter Raleigh, Gladstone and Margaret Thatcher having all been taken down since he moved in.

As a Conservative party spokesman said, "We should celebrate and extol great figures in English history and stop being embarrassed by our identity. No other country would behave like this."

In addition, ludicrously, Rachel Reeves has imposed a new female-only rule on No 11's artwork, meaning that all artworks on display in the state room must be "of a woman or by a woman" and has ordered that pictures of men by male artists be removed. Talk about misandry. Imagine the furore if female artists/subjects were banned.
