I like Dave's Woolworths memory

Peanuts were often sold in pubs and newsagents on a card. The card had a scantily dressed woman printed on it.
The more you bought, the more she was revealed. Exciting days.

I've never liked nuts so have no memory of them in Woolworths I'm afraid. Pick'n'mix yes; Embassy records yes; but not nuts.

Oy yes. Off topic but I remember Embassy records. Re-recordings of hits of the time by session musicians and cheaper than the originals. I have got a couple but never really liked them.

I agree. That was always my thoughts about Sing Something Simple too.
