It's your wife I feel sorry for - no wonder the plumber did that job for you cheap

There's an hilarious skit by Michael McIntyre mocking Americanisms.
He points out how Americans need more descriptive names for basic things.

Sidewalk for pavement because they must have been getting run over a lot.
Horseback riding for horse riding because they didn't know where to sit.
Eyeglasses for glasses because they couldn't see any better when they put them on their legs.

It's worth watching on YouTube.

Sorry. Don't like him at all.

He can be a bit smug

I read on Facebook:
'- Cry has 3 letters, so does Joy.
- Hate has 4 letters, so does Love.
- Lying has 5 letters, so does Truth.
- Enemies has 7 letters, so does Friends.
- Negativity has number 10 letters, so does Positivity.'
I replied, 'F**k off has 7 letters, so does You c**t.'

People asking me for directions. It happens to me quite often, probably more than average. It's not their fault - I suspect they want to know how to get somewhere, right?

It's just that I can't be doing with all that "second on the left, first on the right, then go up the hill" business. I just sort of instinctively know how to get to places, like some sort of pigeon - but people don't like it when I say that, they don't want to hear about pigeons, they want all that "second on the left, first on the right, then go up the hill" shit.

Anytime (if you want to know it)

Evenin' all - I'll just get back on me beat, now let's see were I going from the little door numbers up the street or big door numbers down...............

Why would the numbers be different sizes?

Why would the numbers be different sizes?

Well, when you're plodding the beat you need to note down in your pad if you were going up the street from the little numbers (1, 3, 5 and so on) OR you finds yourself at the top of said street going down via the big numbers (99, 97, 95 etc)

I doesn't know why you should be puzzled, 'cos we rozzers never are by making detailed notes

The useless BBC weather app

It's always wrong

But today it's taking the biscuit

"Be assured there won't be 14408 mph winds, hurricane force winds or overnight temperatures of 404 C."

That's what Michael Fish said.

I thought you meant the actual size of the numerals.
