Worryingly UK Gold are currently broadcasting censored versions of The Fast Show - all the sketches with the Newlyweds were cut (all bar the sketch which appeared in the end credits when the couple requested a bucket of cold water); the ERAS video sketch has been censored, removing the initial shower scene from the Amity High, One Crazy Vacation"Porky's" spoof and thus rendering the gag moot UK Gold insist that any cuts have been made for timing reasons. Mmmmm....
Rewatched them all again recently, still brilliantly funny. Everything from Swiss Toni to The 13th Duke of Wymbourne.. just sublime!
Since Paul Whitehouse threads are getting a lot of bumping I thought I'd have a go.
Insane to think that The Fast Show is thirty years old this year. Definitely my favourite sketch show of all time, and still feels fresh and funny.
