And I'll add Jonathan Creek, The excellent Curse of Comedy singles, and controversially for some maybe, but not for me, Life on Mars, gritty but stuffed with humour and a fantasy premise.
Slow Horses(Apple TV) is vey funny, yet still a cracking espionage drama.
There are secret recordings of actual mobsters discussing The Sopranos and deciding the writer or someone must have infiltrated them to get it so accurate.
They were trying to work out which one of them was Tony
Paulie Walnuts was a real-life gangster who turned to acting when he came out of prison.
