I notice Starmer had to keep referring to his notes when speaking outside number 10. Just to check what it was he was supposed to be believing in at the moment.

Farage made exactly the same point.

Starmer gives his first news conference as PM

He is boring

Boring because he is a deadly deadly serious man. He knows politics is an extremely serious business and not some silly game. This stuff matters and he is very, very serious

Yawn !

What a fantastic contrast to the bumbling, jokey , clownish tones that his predecessor gave this time 5 years ago 🤡

We have a dull, nerdy, stuffy politician in charge of the country at last

There will be no bring your own bottle parties on his watch...

The grown ups are back in charge at last 😎

Just seen Suella on the news, wonder if she's going to take a holiday after the long campaign

I hear Rwanda is lovely this time of year ....

The combined Labour, Lib Dem, Green vote exceeds 50%.
More people voted for the Left than for anyone else.

Mrs Starmer and the Starmer minors at Sandown Park today for the races.

You didn't vote, though, did you.
So you can't complain.

Of course I can!! Because of the system - what a load of crap

Quote: chipolata @ 6th July 2024, 10:26 AM

That won't stop him.

Too f**kin' right I will over a system that stinks

When did a majority of eligible voters ever elect any one party? It's never happened!

And your point? I really don't see where you are going with that

This thread surely has a limited lifeline
whichever side of the suposed divide you fall on , he can't do much worse
I think we can agree on that

He gets his chance but it's really just another muppet show.
Maybe Kermit and Miss Piggy will do well - maybe not.

Half the new cabinet women but no Thornberry! She must have really upset someone with her big gob again. Oh yes it was revealing that state school class sizes are going to get even bigger as a result of their new private school tax. Imagine someone with her ego having to sit at the back with the 22 year olds. Tee hee.

😁 Looking forward to what Fozzie Starmer comes up with..................

It'll be interesting because roles will be reversed on the BCG, and now Goodlad and Kipper will become the new Hallam and Lofthouse.

Well, that must leave me and Lazzard to sit on the fence and judicate, though I suspect he'll have something to say about that 😆

Sorry, still basking in the glory of a Labour government!

Keir Starmer's cabinet: 92% Comprehensive school educated

Change.

I wonder if Jeremy Hunt left a note in the treasury?

"There's no money left. We gave it all to Michelle Mone, covid scam fraudsters and the gangsters who run Rwanda!"

France also rejecting the right too by the looks of it tonight

😎

No glory about it - they got in by default. Hardly a victory and nothing to crow about, is it.

I'm wondering now how many times Fozzie Starmer & Co are going to use the excuse of "what we've inherited" as an explanation as to why they can't fulfil their promises.
