Well, thanks a lot Billy - F'all to do with them doing a back to back and being promoted to the Prem, then?
Is this just because I didn't laugh at your pun/joke?

Yup, and you can go off people
Well it's nearly June so let's look out the window
Windy? Check
Rain? Check
Cloudy? Check

Yep everything seems in order

20 June actually. You've got another three weeks for it to warm up yet.

Meteorological summer starts today, Billy. Keep up.
The start of summer, like the start of winter, spring & autumn is determined by the sun's position in the sky. And has been for millions of years (ask the Druids). It is not possible to change this fact of nature merely because some organisation decides unilaterally it would like to change the date for some obscure reason.
Meteorological seasons have been recognised since 1780, apparently. I much prefer it, three full calendar months for each season. Nice and neat and easy to remember.
But it's only in the last 100 years that they've been talking about them on TV.
I will give you that!

I bow to your greater knowledge of what was on TV a hundred years ago, Billy.
(Although I agree with zoooooo in liking the neatness of three calendar months per season)

Yes I had to put my smoking jacket on in the evening, even though I don't smoke anymore.
2nd of June - what a difference a day makes. British weather is moodier than Herc after his quiz has been edited. And long may it continue, variety is the spice of life, you can keep your foreign 85 degree everyday carryon.
