Outnumbered - Christmas 2024

After 8 years, they're back! Will be 8 years since the last, too.

The last one had a bit of a different energy since none of them were little kids anymore, even Karen was about 15 at that point and it lost the spontaneity. Still fun though.

The best Christmas one they did was with Mark Heap IMO.

Great news! Love this show. I think they're all in their 20s now.

Hugh Dennis?

50 is the new 20.

What about 62?

Well this was good. Nice to check in with the Brockmans, while the randomness of the kids has long gone, them now being all in their twenties had them keep hold of their character (Jake the exasperated eldest kid, Ben with his roving mind and mildly chaotic/unusual events and circumstances with him, Karen inquisitive and sticking her nose in and being pushy). And Jane was... Jane. It felt right. And as usual, best laid plans become slapdash. Very Outnumbered.

I'm still hoping this was a set up for a new series somewhere down the line. I would happily watch it.
They kept saying they'd downsized the house, but it didn't seem any smaller to me! Bigger rooms if anything, several spare bedrooms. Just one less floor, I think.

Call me crazy but I want to laugh when I watch a sitcom Christmas special, why would they make it a story about cancer? It just isn't funny now they're grown up.

It was OK but the characters are now pretty much redundant. It was fun when the kids were themselves with the improvisation. This could really be any family sitcom. "My Family", "Two point four children". Not saying I didn't enjoy it though.
