British Comedy Quiz Page 70

7 plus 1, but the usual mix of knows, miseducated guesses and wild guesses.

Good quiz !
I got 9
Guessed 3.
Got Q10 wrong

A bit surprised to get 9/10 as there were a couple I was a bit wobbly on. Got Q4 wrong but was bound to, being an anti fan of the show in the answer. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Speaking of which, I am proud to get every single Only Fools and Horses question wrong. Cool.

It always seems a shame to be doing the 15th post on a page, as the next post will start a new page, so fewer people will probably bother going back to the previous page to read the last post on there! Tell me I'm wrong!

I always go back to the oldest unread post so you're not entirely correct about all of us ๐Ÿ˜œ

Good mix of questions and pleased with my 10/10 and 4/5. Got Q13 wrong which was the only pure guess of the lot for me.

I'd only heard of two of the people in question 4, which made getting the odd one out rather impossible. And I've no idea what question 10 was about.

Ha, thanks Niki! ๐Ÿ˜„

You seem faintly outraged. But quizzes do work on this principle! I knew nothing about Q10 either. Hence why I got it wrong!

Not outraged at all. Merely highlighting the gaps in my knowledge of modern comedy. More in a spirit of self-deprecation than anything else.

Of course I could have said the same thing about the principle of quizzes in response to your own comments over the weeks. But I didn't:

Fun, but perhaps too easy.

Perhaps a little easy.

Not Going Out question seemed very hard?

Quiz 298 by Kate Emmett. Bears!!!!

Some very tricky ones there. I wonder if even Niki or Chris know something as obscure as the price of the f**ken Del Boy teddy bear!?

Still, a good wide range of questions from through the ages.
Going as far back as Shakespeare!!! That's old even by Billy Bunter's standards! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I got 5/10 with only one guess (Horrible Histories which I haven't seen, although it was an 'educated' guess).

Correct answers: 1, 2, 5, 6, 9.

7 out of 10!
I got 4, 7 and 10 wrong.
I DID get the Del Boy Teddy one right but only by a total fluke! I'd never heard of it until now.

6/10 to my surprise as that looked hard at first glance. Hats off to Kate for finding 15 Qs on bears though.๐Ÿ‘ I know how hard it is to gather 15 Qs on any themed or single subject quiz so well done. Not sure which Q I'm more surprised to see used in a 2024 comedy quiz - Shakespeare or Roger De Courcey! ๐Ÿ˜ต๐Ÿ‘ And not sure which is more ancient either. ๐Ÿ˜

:)

Well this week I knew # 9!

Also worked out whose fingers they probably were in # 1. And thought I knew # 5 - and turns out I did.

Question # 5 actually reminded me of the catchphrase "exit stage left...", often uttered by a favourite cartoon character of my childhood. Anyone else?

3 and 1. Bearly scraped that. The only ones I knew were 1 (the shame) and the Man Down one (hoorah).
As I said before, I like it when the theme isn't a specific comedy as those are usually too specialist for me.

No I didn't know, it was one of my lucky guesses though! 5/10 and 2/5 is my lowest score for a while but I thought that was fun. There were a few questions in there on people or shows I haven't thought of much for a few decades.
