Surely they'll just get Hugh Dennis to impersonate Sir Jimmy.

My how things have changed in the last 4 years. Shame because Hugh Dennis did a mean and very funny impersonation of him, especially with his pronunciation of Showaddywaddy. :D

Apparently not mean enough.

It's just not the same without John Holmes!!

I've an old tape recording of a Series 39 Episode 05 episode. I'd like to know an additional material writer's name I can't quite make out next to those of Jack Bernhardt, Gareth Gwynn, Sarah Morgan, Tom Neenan and Miranda Walker. Phonetically, it sounds like "Neo Edjelar", but I'm not sure, if you spell it that way. Does anyone know who he is?

Welcome to the site Al.

No idea. Can you upload it to soundcloud or similar for us to have a listen.

Anyone listen to last Friday's episode. Kiri Pritchard McLean was on. I'm afraid I hadn't heard of her but she was very funny, particularly describing Michael Gove as 'looking like a pair of glasses fallen into a hotel breakfast'. Welsh funny man Tudur Owen was good as well.

Sad to see the end of this show. But maybe there was a clue a few months ago, as Radio 4 ran a number of one-off satire shows on Friday evenings. I'm guessing one of those will take over.
