There won't be any left at the rate they're falling, some of my favourite shops gone forever now - Debenhams, Army & Navy, Wilko, Woolies. I've always been a fan of the trad multi floor department store of old, but there are hardly any left outside the West End and and one or two other big cities. A great shame and the savings shoppers make online I'm not sure are true savings in terms of social and mental well being costs.

I had one of those horn speakers when I was a kid. Bought it in a junk shop in Blackpool, took it with us to Egypt (when Dad was posted there), Subsequently took it over to Cyprus, (when the British left the Suez Canal zone), finally gave it to a friend in Cyprus, so that we would not need to bring it back to the UK.

It worked fine, didn't even need any batteries or whatever to listen to the local Radio Station on a crystal set. Only snag was that station was in Arabic. :-(
